God's plan in your life

God’s Plan in Your Life

 1.                   You have a God

1.                All people groups of that time had:

i.       their own country
ii.     their own god / gods
iii.   their kings

2.    All other nations had almost identical gods with slightly different names
3.    All other gods of different nations have identical worship styles
4.    But Israelites had no country, no king and no God that is known among other nations
5.    The True God of Israel had quite a different name and character
6.    The way to worship the true God is also different in every aspect from other nations
7.    And there existed a war between the True God of Israel and other false gods of other nations
8.    God Jehovah decided to prove that Israelites have a God, the only True God.

Exodus 3. 6 - Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Exodus 6. 1 – 3
1   Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
2   And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: {the LORD: or, JEHOVAH}
3   And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Exodus 9. 14, 16
14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. {raised...: Heb. made thee stand}

2.       To Deliver His people from the Clutches of Pharaoh (Satan)

1.    Our God can deliver us from the darkest clutches of Devil
2.    Pharaoh once thought that Israelites will remain forever in his slavery to work for his prosperity
3.    As long as Israelites remained in Egypt, they were working for the prosperity of that nation
4.    All credits for the prosperity went to the gods of Egypt

God’s people’s health + money due + time + blessings of God upon them 4 Pharaoh 4 false gods of Egypt 4 Satan

5.    So God gains nothing by blessing you while you are in Egypt.
6.    That is why god wants them to flee from Egypt to the Promised Land
7.    Remember Jacob – god blessed him while he was living with Laban – but a major portion of all blessings went to Laban – laban worship other gods.
8.    So God ants to Deliver You from the evil clutches if Stan before he truly bless you.
9.    And how strong Pharaoh is, God can deliver His people.

Exodus 3. 8 - And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Exodus 6. 1 – Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

Exodus 6. 6 – Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

 3.                 God wants his people to hold a fest in the Wilderness

Exodus 5:1 - And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

1.    It is God’s wish that His people should:

i.       hold a feast unto Him
ii.     hold the feast in the wilderness

2.    God delivered His people not to lead a silent procession to Canaan
3.    God wants His people to rejoice, shout for joy and declare their freedom and blessing
4.    They hold a fest unto God, because:

i.       They are delivered from the clutches of Satan

a)     They had been in Satan’s clutches for more than 400 years
b)     All hopes for deliverance were gone
c)     But at last it came – they are delivered

ii.     They are blessed with all richness (gold and silver) of Egypt

a)     As they started their journey, they asked gold and silver ornaments from Egyptians.
b)     They gave it to Israelites.
c)     Thus Israelites started their journey with gold and silver.

Exodus 11: 2, 3
2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

Psalms 105:37 - He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

iii.   Egyptians will never follow them again – there is total separation between them.

a)     Red sea is separateness between God’s people and Egyptians
b)     Egyptians cannot follow them again
c)     Neither God’s people can go back to Egypt
d)    It also shows a need for separateness.
e)     What is left behind is left for ever

Exodus 14:13 - And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Exodus 14:30 - Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.

Exodus 15:10 - Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

iv.   Now they have a God, mightier than all other gods of gentile nations

Exodus 15:11 - Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

a)     This was God’s main intention behind His mighty works
b)     God’s people are shouting it in the wilderness.

5.    The Second important thing that we have to note is that God’s people hold a feast unto God in the Wilderness.

i.        None hold feast in the wilderness
ii.      There is no reason to hold a fest there.
iii.    It is desert, no food, no water and full of enemies – poisonous snakes, poisonous water, cruel thieves robbing passengers
iv.    But God’s people have enough reason to hold a feast unto God any where in the world.
v.      Because:
a)      God supplies all their needs
b)      He is bread and water for them
c)      He is light and shade for them
d)     He is healer for them

4.                 Jesus – The Answer For All Their Physical Material Needs

1.                    God’s people are called to live a care free life.
2.                    Their God shall provide them food, water and shelter
3.                    When they were hungry, He provided them Manna
4.                    When they were thirsty he provided them water
5.                    He was the Healer for them keeping away all sickness from their home
6.                    All these blessings are in CHRIST – Manna, the Rock and Health.
Exodus 15:26 - And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Exodus 23:25, 26
25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.

Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 10:4 - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. {followed...: or, went with them}

1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. {on: or, to}

5.                 God Is Their Warrior – Protection From All Enemies

1.                  God fought against their enemies.
2.                  No enemy prevailed against them – as long as they stood with God
3.                  They never faced defeat – as long as they fought according to His laws.
4.                  Each attack of enemy made them richer and invincible
5.                  Enemies trembled because of them – they never need to fear any one.

Exodus 14:13, 14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. {for the...: or, for whereas ye have seen the Egyptians to day}
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exodus 15:3 - The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Exodus 23: 27, 28
27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. {backs: Heb. neck}
28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

Psalms 34:7 - 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

6.                 God Wants You To Inherit Canaan, The Land Of Promises

1.                  God called you to go to and inherit Canaan
2.                  Canaan represents

i.      your earthly promises
ii.    your heavenly abode (everything on earth is a shadow of a spiritual mystery)

Exodus 3:8 - And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Deuteronomy 8:7, 8
7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; {of oil...: Heb. of olive tree of oil}
9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

Joshua 11: 23 - So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
